About Andre
Andre Lopes is a young professional triathlete who decided to chase his dreams in 2018 after graduating from college as an Electrical Engineer. He won his age group in his first Ironman and then placed 6 th in his AG in at the Ironman World Championships in Kona,Hawaii that same year. He has consistently progressed year after year in his short career as a professional athlete. In less than 5 years in the sport, he has had multiple podium performances alongside some standout times. In 2021, he completed his first full distance as a professional and broke the Ironman South American Record for the full distance with a time of 7h43min and the 3rd fastest pro Ironman debut of all times. He followed that up with another sub-8hr performance and 2nd place at the North American Championships with the fastest run of the day. He also won Challenge Florianopolis in his last race of 2022 . His focus now is to perform at the full distance IM World Championship.
